Services and Activities

HSE Responsibilities

  • Cooperation and coordination between HSE inspectors and the supervisory authorities of the Ministry of Labor
  • Identification, documentation, and implementation of safety regulations and instructions related to workshop activities, and follow-up to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Hazard identification, risk assessment, and development of responsive programs to control existing workplace hazards
  • Monitoring and follow-up of corrective action plans and initiatives aimed at improving workplace safety conditions, and supervising their implementation
  • Recording statistics related to occupational accidents resulting in employee injuries or incidents with potentially hazardous environmental impacts
  • Assessing training needs, conducting safety training programs, evaluating their effectiveness, and implementing initiatives to promote safety culture and awareness
  • Assessing needs, supervising procurement, training, distribution, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), as well as inspecting and replacing defective equipment
  • Ensuring employee compliance with mandatory HSE regulations regarding the use of personal protective equipment
  • Identifying unsafe acts for the purpose of issuing corrective notices, encouragement, and fostering appropriate motivation for safe behavior among employees

Actions Implemented by the HSE Department

  • Establishment of a green belt within the industrial complex
  • Monitoring and prevention of environmental health pollution and collection of waste materials by the services unit
  • Dispatching injured personnel to medical centers in the event of serious accidents
  • Preparation and installation of safety signage within production lines
  • Regular organization of Safety, Protection, and Occupational Health Committee meetings with the participation of the complex’s safety managers
  • Continuous inspections by HSE officers of production units and completion of relevant checklists
  • Strict supervision of food preparation and distribution processes in the company restaurant through regular inspections

Employee Health and Well-Being

To ensure the physical and mental well-being of employees, the HSE Department conducts pre-employment medical examinations as well as periodic health assessments. The primary objectives of these examinations include:

  • Early detection of occupational diseases and work-related health complications
  • Timely treatment and prevention of occupational illnesses
  • Prevention of the transmission and spread of contagious diseases
  • Prevention of occupational diseases among employees performing similar tasks
  • Evaluation of the impact of harmful workplace environmental factors on workers
  • Assessment of the effectiveness of preventive and safety measures

    Safety and Firefighting

      To prevent accidents and to maintain and enhance employee safety and health, the HSE Department equips personnel with appropriate safety clothing, provides firefighting equipment, conducts monthly inspections of fire extinguishers, and delivers training on the proper use of firefighting equipment.

Environment

The development and implementation of environmental management and assessment encompass the following areas:

  • Protection of the human and natural environment
  • Monitoring of natural resources, particularly non-renewable resources
  • Control, discharge, storage, and hygienic disposal of wastewater, waste, and discarded materials

Passive Defense (Non-Structural Defense)

Passive defense refers to a set of non-military defensive measures aimed at increasing deterrence, reducing vulnerability, ensuring continuity of essential operations, enhancing resilience, and facilitating crisis management in the face of potential threats.

In this regard, the HSE Department has implemented the following measures:

  • Identification of high-risk areas within the complex and the rebar production line, and implementation of safety measures to mitigate potential hazards
  • Securing various sections of the rebar production line where the risk of injury exists
  • Conducting occupational health and safety training courses for all employees to ensure preparedness in the event of unsafe incidents within the production line
